Why do bow ties wear out so much faster than normal ties?  I was putting away one of Miles' bow ties, and noticed that the edges were fraying a little.  None of his normal ties are doing that, and he has had some of them for YEARS!

i totally agree. i think it's all the friction from the parts of the tie rubbing together when you tie it. but then again, you tie a normal tie too, i guess.

I wouldn't know anything about that. I can't get my husband to wear a regular tie! It's all I can do to get the man not to wear jeans to church!
